According to a Cambridge Public Health Department regulation, “body art must also show the practice of physical body adornments, change, or modification by methods including. But not limited to, branding, piercing, tattooing, braiding, beading/ implantation, or body piercing, generally known as scarring.”

MA has created model laws for body art workers. Massachuset departments of public health and county are responsible for issuing a Massachusetts tattoo license. They also decide on professional accrediting standards.

Get The Necessary Education

Finish all of your training prerequisites. All certified experts in this field should finish classes in blood-borne diseases. Also, they have to finish classes in basic CPR, and first aid, albeit the criteria vary. These courses are available through your local American Red Cross or other educational institutions. They are usually completed in one day or over the weekend.

The latter should show that you have finished the required work experience. Also, include information about your job, a fee, personal identity, and passport-style pictures, among other things.

Is Tattooing Illegal?
